ADD is fortunate that our volunteers have an amazing range of skills – and are willing to give countless hours of time for free. Now, though, we need to buy more professional expertise.
As we enter the final stage of our campaign – culminating in the Planning Inspector’s enquiry later in the year – we need to develop clear, robust arguments that highlight flaws in the ‘soundness’ of Eastleigh’s Plan. This is entirely possible as the evidence is there and the argument is winnable, but we require expertise for it to be presented in an appropriate professional manner – and for this there will a cost.
We estimate we need a fighting fund of £100,000. This sounds a huge amount, but if ADD is going to succeed we have to commission the best transport, ecology, planning and legal advisers to make our case.
Thanks to the generosity of many, we are already halfway there. But we now need the other half. So, if you are affected by Eastleigh’s plans, either directly or because you love the ancient woodlands and the glorious river and countryside that are threatened by these proposals, or because the estimated 26,000 extra daily vehicle movements will create road misery or simply because you loathe the injustice of it all, then we ask you to give money to the cause.
ADD is working tirelessly for the community. To succeed we need the support of the community at this critical time. Together we can win this fight.
If you would like to make a donation, we would be extremely grateful.
